An efit has been released of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in Southend.

The victim, who's in her 20s and from the town, was attacked while at a grassy area near Clifton Terrace on October 10th, 2012.

Since then detectives have carried out extensive enquiries to trace the offender, including with local homeless shelters, but no arrests have been made.

The man is described as white with mousey brown hair and is aged somewhere between 21 and 40-years-old.

He is 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall, of stocky build and has a pierced right ear. At the time of the incident he wore a pink McKenzie polo shirt with 1974 printed on it, light coloured chino trousers, white trainers and was carrying a JD Sports bag with a Union Jack design.

He carried this on his left side. Anyone who can identify the man is asked to contact detectives at Southend on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
