Southend: Fifth Arrest After Man Stabbed

A fifth person has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Southend.

A 55-year-old man was attacked on Victoria Road on Sunday night (11 August).

He is sitll in hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old man from Southend is being questioned about the incident.

Three men, aged 22, 23 and 24 and from the Southend area, who were previously arrested in connection with the investigation have been bailed until 6 December.

A woman in her 20s has been released without charge.
