Teenager Threatened At Knifepoint

Thieves in Brentwood have held a knife to a teenager's throat whilst stealing his motor cross bike.

The 16 year old was riding along a footpath near Princes Road when his bike ran out of petrol.

One of the unidentified men held a knife to the boy's throat, whilst the other stole the bike and put it in their vehicle.   The men then drove off.

The unidentified suspects are described as: a white man, aged around 25 years old, with short dark ginger hair, speaking in an Irish accent, wearing a grey t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers; a white man slightly tanned, of chubby build, aged around 18-20 years old, with short dark hair, around 5ft 11in tall, wearing a dark blue polo-style t-shirt, dark blue tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and a farmer's cap, speaking in an Essex accent.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Gingell said: "This was a particularly frightening experience for the young lad who was minding his own business. Crimes of this nature are rare in the Brentwood area, and we are very keen to apprehend the offenders as soon as possible. I would urge anyone who has information about this crime to contact CID at Brentwood, where the investigating officer is Dc Andy Bain, on 0300 3334444, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
