Thundersley: Schoolgirl Attack Filmed

An Essex schoolgirl has been kicked in the face in an attack by bullies which was filmed on a phone and put online.

Footage on YouTube shows the ferocious attack at The Deanes School in Thundersley where the girl is dragged to the floor by her hair and kicked in the face four times.

Baying spectators can be seen in the background as the attack happens.

Jan Atkinson, Headteacher of The Deanes School, said: "The school is treating this incident very seriously and taking action against those involved."

Essex Police said they received calls from members of the public who viewed the footage.

Officers have spoken to the victim and are liasing with the school.
