Victim Of Southend Assault Urged To Come Forward

Police in Southend are urging the victim of an assault, which appears to have left a man unconscious, to come forward.

Officers were reviewing CCTV footage while investigating another incident when they came across images of a man being assaulted.

The victim was repeatedly kicked and punched to the ground on Southchurch Avenue at around 3.40am on Saturday, 13 September.

Investigating Officer Dc David Wood said: "We would like to know who the victim of this vicious attack was. Can the victim or any witnesses to what happened please get in touch with me. We are also particularly keen to speak to the occupant of a light coloured Ford KA and any taxi drivers who may have been on duty at this time and location as they may hold important information."

A 24-year-old man from Southend has been arrested in connection with this incident and has been bailed until Monday, March 9, 2015 pending further police enquiries.
