A woman has been punched in the face several times during an attempted robbery in Harlow.

She was approached by three men, before being pushed to the ground and attacked in Wych Elm at around 8.15pm on Saturday, 4 October.

The men tried to steal her handbag but failed. The victim was left with cuts to her arms and leg.

Investigating officer Dc Ann-Marie Pitcher said: "After the incident the victim asked someone outside a nearby bar for help. I am keen to speak to that person as they may have information that could help us find the men responsible."

The men are all described as white and in their early 20s. The first man was wearing dark clothing, a lightweight rain sport jacket, was unshaven and had an English accent. The second man was wearing a light grey tracksuit.
