Woman Raped In Brentwood

An area of Brentwood was cordoned off yesterday after a woman was raped in the town.

Essex Police say the attack is believed to have happened at around 1am on Sunday in the Coptfold Road/South Street area.
 
The victim, who is in her 20s, is being supported by specially trained officers.
 
The suspect is described as as white, aged in his mid 20s, 5ft 6ins tall, of stocky build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a grey top and jeans.
 
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen her or the suspect to contact them.
