Woman Seriously Injured After Westcliff Collision
A woman is being treated for serious head injuries after a collision with a car in Westcliff.
It happened on the A127 Prince Avenue at the traffic light controlled crossroads with Hobleythick Lane at around 8pm yesterday.
Essex Police said: "A 24-year-old woman pedestrian was in collision with a blue Ford Mondeo which was being driven by a 44-year-old local man.
"The woman, who also lives in the local area, suffered serious head injuries. She was taken to Southend Hospital for treatment but has since been transferred to the Royal London Hospital where she remains.
"Officers are asking for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, particularly any road users who were at or using the Hobleythick junction at the time of the collision.

"The A127 from Cuckoo Corner to Hobleythick Lane was closed until just after midnight whilst enquiries were carried out."
