Young Woman Sexually Assaulted

A young woman has been sexually assaulted in Chelmsford.

Police say the 18-year-old, who's from the Chelmsford area, was walking along a footpath beside the river next to The Meadows car park at around 4:30 this morning (Thursday September 15th) when she was attacked by a man.

The attacker is described as of Asian appearance, in his early 20s. He has spiky hair, shaved at the back and sides. He was wearing a grey and blue check shirt, beige chino trousers and black trainers with white soles and laces.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen this man, or anything at all in the area around The Meadows, the car park and the river in the early hours to contact Ds Stuart Truss at Essex Police on telephone number 101.
