The Big Green Leaf Event At Queensgate Centre

Come and meet Bugella Burrows and her friends for fun under the Big Green Leaf at the Queensgate Centre in Harlow on Saturday 13th September!

The free family fun day will have loads of interactive and educational activities so you can all learn about nature plus there's the chance to win lots of prizes including a fantastic £500 shopping spree!

What's underneath the Big Green Leaf?

• Meet Bugella Burrows - keeper of insects and lover of bugs and her Giant African snail called Slimon and a giant millipede named Oozmelda.

• Water lover and avid gardener, Walter Droplet will run games based around water gathering and conservation.

• Children will be able to take part in the water butt challenge and enjoy being turned into clouds, tasked with the mission of “raining down into the H2O handling machine” until they gather enough to water the garden and feed the insects.

• Other characters include professional composter, Wormarie Compostulaire who will teach youngsters about food waste and recycling, and Litter Bug who patrols the area looking for rubbish.

• There's craft workshops and the chance to take away a free photo of yourself with your favourite character. All the snaps will also be uploaded to Facebook, so you can tag yourself too!
