Emergency Contraception at College

The morning-after pill is being made available for students at Exeter College.

Before now - like a number of colleges nationally - Exeter has been unable to give out emergency contraception, now nurses there have special contracts allowing them to distribute both emergency and normal contraception to students.

Sarah O'Shea runs things like wellbeing and safeguarding at the college: "before we would have had to send them to a walk in centre in Sidwell Street or back to their GP. It means that they can come in and have confidential advice in a secure place."
