Atlantic Challenge 2012
In a dramatic and sad twist, the Sara G capsized on Monday with the crew having to take to their life raft for 14 hours before being rescued by a passing cargo vessel.
The crew are now safely aboard the Nord Taipei and are on their way to Gibraltar. They expect to arrive on Wednesday February 9th and will return to the UK. As well as trying to break the world record for the fastest Atlantic crossing, the crew also wanted to try and raise as much money as possible for the Have a Heart Appeal in support of Childline. You can continue to donate online right now by clicking the Virgin Money logo below or you can text BOAT to 70766 to donate £4 … (texts charged at standard network rate).
