Luton International Carnival is ‘Celebrating the World to Build our Future’ at this year’s carnival! It’s a day of family, friendly, fun for all on Sunday 28th May, parading throughout the town and in Wardown Park!
The UK Centre for Carnival Arts will be ‘celebrating the world to build our future’ at this year’s carnival on Sunday 28th May 2017. Activates will start from 12 noon in Wardown Park, where you can sample an array of food stalls and purchase special gifts from arts and craft stalls.
The colourful creative carnival parade will begin at 1.30pm starting on New Bedford Road moving to Stockingstone Road and onto Old Bedford Road where the judging will take place. In addition to the parade, you can enjoy one of three sound sites, fairground rides and experience the health and wellbeing area with lots of free, fun activities for all the family.
Luton International Carnival begins at 12 noon and closes at 6pm, and with over 40 carnival bands parading, it’s sure to be a sea of spectacular colour and buzzing Caribbean sounds. Then, carry on with the carnival spirit and dance the night away at the over 18’s Carnival After Party taking place at UKCCA from 9pm.

Road closures and times will be as follows: New Bedford Road, 8.30am – 8pm; Old Bedford Road, 11am – 5.30pm; Stocking stone Road, 11am – 4pm; Cromwell Hill, 8.30am – 8pm
Parking will be available at The Mall in the town centre and at Luton Train station on Midland Road.
