One in every 52 people in Luton is homeless and we are told it's going to get far worse.

New figures from Shelter show more than four thousand people in the town are in temporary accommodation.

 

Just over twenty thousand people in the East of England are known to be homeless but Shelter says the true figure is probably even higher.

 

In Northampton, 635 people are with out homes.

 

And in Milton Keynes, some 2,400 live on the streets - that's 1 in just over a 100 people in the city.
