Criminal Damage At Church

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident of criminal damage at St Katherine’s Church, in Arlesey Road, Hitchin on Tuesday December 14.

The incident took place at 5.50pm when it is believed offender(s) climbed on the roof breaking a stained glass window and security light, before making off from the scene in an unknown direction.

The incident has caused a significant amount of damage and police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area, or if they suspect they know who may be responsible for the damage, to get in contact.
