Serious Assault in Luton

Detectives in Luton investigating the serious assault of a 41 year old man are seeking information from the public.

The assault happened in the Alomat Store in Dallow Road on Friday March 11 at 11.15pm when a man went in to the store to purchase cigarettes.

The owner of the shop refused to serve the person before the man pulled a knife from his pocket and cut the victims face.

The offender is described as white, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a white hooded top with a gold logo on the front. Jeans and white training shoes.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received 50 stitches to the cut before being released.

DC Mark Bryce, investigating, is keen to trace anyone who saw the incident or who can help identify the offender.

DC Bryce said: β€œThe victim is now recovering at home but will be left with a nasty scar from this traumatic experience. I would like to urge anyone who saw the offender in the area that night or anyone who may have information which would help identify who is responsible for this crime, to come forward and help with this investigation.”
