Cyclist Injured Following Collision In Hemel

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after he collided with a car in Hemel Hempstead.

Ambulance crews were called to St Albans Road just after 12.30pm yesterday (7 Aug). An ambulance and the Herts Air Ambulance attended.

The ambulance service said the man, who is in his 50s, was catapulted into the air before landing on the windscreen of the car.

A spokesperson said: "The man suffered an injury to his lower back and was conveyed by land ambulance to St Mary's Hospital in London."
