Herts Police Officer Suspended After Misconduct Charge

A Police officer from Hatfield in Herts had been charged with serious misconduct in a public office.

Simon Salway, 38, has been suspended from duty.

A Herts police spokeswoman said: "A serving officer with Hertfordshire Constabulary has been charged with Misconduct in Public Office following an investigation by the force's Professional Standards Unit.

"Simon Salway, 38, who lives in Hatfield, is due to appear at Luton Crown Court for an initial PCMH (plea and case management hearing) on July 13 and, given the seriousness of the allegations, remains suspended from duty pending the outcome of legal proceedings."
