Jail For Lorry Driver Involved In Fatal A5 Crash
A lorry driver has been jailed for killing a man he crashed into on the A5 in Daventry.
Adam Szoltek, of Cressage Road, Coventry, was driving a Daf lorry near the junction of Long Buckby Wharf, on the evening of October 28 2013, when the collision with a blue Ford Ka took place.
The 65-year-old man driving the Ka died at the scene. Szoltek was charged on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Szoltek was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison.
Hewas also disqualified from driving for four and a half years when he appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Monday 9 February.
