Luton Man Arrested After Cambridge 'Violent Incident'

Police have arrested a man from Luton on suspicion of attempted murder, following what they are calling a 'violent incident' in Cambridge this morning.

One man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 1.16am this morning (Tuesday) with reports of violence in East Road, Cambridge.

"A man in his late 20s/early 30s has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries.

"A 61-year-old man from Luton has been arrested on suspicion of attempt murder and is currently in custody at Parkside Police Station in Cambridge."
