Man Arrested After Shop Robbery In Hemel

A man has been arrested after a man robbed a shop in Hemel Hempstead, with a carrier bag on his head.

The suspect went into the 'Day One' store in Bennetts Gate at around 8:40am on Friday, May 10, armed with a knife.

He entered the shop with a white 'Londis' plastic bag over his head and walked behind the counter, asking the member of staff for money. He then removed money from the till and made off in the direction of Leys Road.

The staff member wasn't hurt.

A 27 year old man from the town, was arrested yesterday (8 Aug) on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on police bail until September 17th.
