Man Dies In House Fire In Luton

An investigation is underway following a house fire in Luton on Friday evening which left a man dead.

The fire broke out shortly after 6pm at a property in Maple Road West.

 Half of the property was damaged by fire and three quarters of the house suffered smoke damage.

The man who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene and is next of kin have been informed.

Fire investigators have been at the property carrying out a forensic examination of the scene to establish what caused the blaze.
