Nine MK Cars Arsons In One Week
In the last week nine cars have been deliberately set alight in Milton Keynes.
Five incidents occurred at Abbotsfield, Osprey Close and Montagu Drive, Eaglestone, between 2 and 2.20am yesterday (18/5). One of the fires spread to a nearby house where the family had to be evacuated.
Four other cars were also deliberately set alight last week in Hodge Lea and Kiln Farm.
Investigating officer, PC James Punter based at Milton Keynes police station said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to please contact police immediately via 101. If anyone has any CCTV footage from the area please let the police know as this may help in identifying the offenders.”
Officers have been at the scene today conducting enquiries and providing reassurance to local residents.
If anyone has any concerns, please speak to officers or call Thames Valley Police on 101 for advice.
If you don't want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
