A Northampton woman has been charged with managing a brothel and facilitating the sexual exploitation of children.
Luan Shettle, 34, from Castle Avenue, was arrested on Tuesday (Jan 12th) and has now been charged and remanded in custody.
Detective Inspector Richard Tompkins leads the RISE (Reduce Incidents of Sexual Exploitation) team said:
"Shettle’s arrest followed a lengthy investigation by RISE, the dedicated multi-agency team established to tackle CSE in the county.
Several children are involved and their ongoing safety and welfare remains the team’s priority. Support has been put in place for the victims."
Shettle will appear before Northampton magistrates for a plea hearing on Friday, February 12.
