Pilot escapes Air Show Crash

A pilot had a lucky escape, after the vintage aircraft he was flying, crashed during a display this morning (Sunday).

Bedfordshire Police told heart, "All three emergency services were at the scene of the crash at a crop field near Old Warden airfield this morning after the aircraft came down.  The aircraft is a vintage plane taking part in an air display hosted from the Old Warden Collection.''

The 44 year-old male pilot of the aircraft which was single crewed has walked away with only slight injuries.

Bedfordshire Police say they won't be conduction any investigation, but if there were to be one, it would be by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).

No-one else was injured during the incident.
