Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a religiously aggravated assault in Milton Keynes.
The victim, a woman in her twenties, was in the Midsummer shopping centre walking towards the Central Milton Keynes shopping centreat about 6pm on Wednesday (18/3).
When she reached the Gap store she was approached by a man and woman.
The man stood in front of the victim and then spat in her face.
The man then shouted at members of the public before the pair ran off in ther direction of the Holiday Inn hotel.
The man is black, in his mid to late teens, about 5ft 5ins, slim with dark short hair. He was wearing dark jeans and a jacket.
The woman is mixed race, in her mid to late teens, about 5ft 3ins, slim, with light brown hair up in pony tail.She was wearing off-white coloured leggings and a silver Puffa-style jacket.
Investigating officer, Sgt Burrey Muzuva said: “This assault is believed to be religiously motivated - the victim is of North African origin. To spit in someone’s face is both deliberate and disgusting.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious or recognises the descriptions of the two offenders to contact police immediately via 101.
