Suffolk Man Jailed For Buckingham Assaults

A 48 year-old man has been sentenced to seven years in jail after being found guilty of indecent assault on two girls under 14 in the Buckingham area.

Paul Griffiths of Manning Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk was found guilty by a majority verdict on two counts of indecent assault on a female under 14 at Aylesbury Crown Court on 13 April following a three day trial.

He was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on 27 May to four and a half years for one count and two and half years for the second count to be served consecutively.

He has had a Sexual Harm Prevention Order imposed and he will be required to sign on the Sex Offenders Register.

The offences took place between 1997 and 2001 and involved two victims aged under 14, in the Buckingham area.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt Kerry Bradfield of Aylesbury CID said:

“I would like to thank the victims of Griffiths, for their bravery. I am pleased for them that after two decades justice has been done.

No matter how long ago offences took place we will investigate them and ensure victims get justice.”
