Teenager Subjected To Sex Attack In Northampton

An investigation's underway in Northampton town centre after reports of serious sex attack on a young woman this morning.

It happened sometime between midnight and 3am in the Cheyne Walk area, when a 19 year-old woman was grabbed from behind by a man who then sexually assaulted her.
 
The offender is described as white and of medium build, more than 5ft 4in with pale skin, dark eyebrows and an Eastern European accent. He wore a dark-coloured scarf covering his lower face and a hoody with the hood up, tracksuit bottoms and black gloves, possibly leather.
 
Officers would like to hear from anybody who was in the area in the early hours of this morning and who saw anybody matching the description above to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
