Two Charged With Stevenage Murder

Two people have been charged with the murder of a man in Stevenage.

Officers were called to Angle Ways at 4.20am on Thursday, April 21 to reports a man had been found lying in the street.

The man, Mark Altabas, 47, was taken to the Lister Hospital where he later died.

Robert Crook, 57, and Katie Holmes, 43, both from Long Leaves in Stevenage were charged late last night (Friday 22nd April) with murder. 

They have been remanded into custody to appear before Hatfield Remand Court tomorrow (Saturday, April 23).

Two other people arrested in connection with the incident, a 35 year-old man and a 49 year-old man have been released on bail. 

A fifth person, aged 18, remains in police custody.
