Flooding in the Four Counties

There are a number of roads affected by flooding this morning across Herts, Beds, Bucks & Northants. Here are the main problems.

TRAVEL 

M25 clockwise between J22, the St Albans turn off and J23, the A1(M) turn off, through the roadworks. Slow traffic


M25 clockwise between J24 for Potters Bar and J25, the Enfield turn off, through the roadworks. Heavy traffic


A14 Westbound between J1, the Welford turning and the M1 at J19, through the roadworks. Very slow traffic


Corby, Oakley Road both ways around Westcott Way, an accident earlier on and very slow traffic

Huntingdon, A141 Spittals Way Eastbound between J23 of the A14 and Stukeley Road. Flooding and one lane blocked


Little Oakley, A43 Stamford Road at Brigstock Road, Flooding


Little Paxton, Mill Lane between Gordon Road and St Neots. Flooding, and the road closed.

Wrestlingworth, High Street between Eyeworth Road and High Street, flooding, and the road is blocked


Stevenage, Gresley Way both ways between Broadwater Lane and Magpie Crescent, Flooding and the road is closed

Corby, Jubilee Avenue around Gainsborough Road, an accident involving three vehicles, the road is blocked.

Waresley, Waresley Road both ways between Vicarage Road and Meadow Road, flooding and the road is closed.

Castlethorpe, Wolverton Road both ways between North Street and Manor Drive, flooding and the road is closed.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

There are overhead wire problems at Huntingdon, and disruption between Peterborough and Kings Cross. Some lines through Huntingdon are now open, however disruption continues, with delays of up to 60 minutes expected until around 20:00.
