Kids Aid Cheque Handover

We surprised Kids Aid in Northampton with a cheque for £65,500 YOU helped raise for our charity, Global's Make Some Noise

We invited Northampton based 'Kids Aid' into the Heart Breakfast studio last week so we could surprise them with a cheque for £65,500 ... money that YOU helped raise for Heart's charity, Global’s Make Some Noise

Kids Aid provides therapeutic support for children and young people in Northamptonshire who have suffered any form of trauma, and the money that you have helped raise will provide two years of therapy for young people in Northamptonshire that have experienced a traumatic event in their lives. Delivering life-changing benefits for the people helped by Kids Aid.

Grants are awarded to projects across the UK that help disadvantaged youngsters living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity. In its first three years, Global’s Make Some Noise has raised nearly nearly £6 million and raised awareness for 135 incredible charities and projects around the UK. Charities like Kids Aid.

Young people from all walks of life deserve the same opportunities, and Kids Aid does a great job of helping local youngsters. It is incredibly difficult for small charities like Kids Aid to be heard, and thats where we can help! So as well as raising money for the charity, we’ve helped them raise awareness and grow their network of donors so they can continue to do more great work.

Patrick Conrad, Chair of Trustees at Kids Aid said: “We’re overwhelmed by the generosity of Heart Four Counties and its listeners.  We knew we were getting a grant for £26,316 from Global’s Make Some Noise and they surprised us with an extra £39,184 taking the total to £65,500 and completely surpassing our expecations.  We want to thank Heart Four Counties and its listeners for their support. Through this funding we’ll be able to provide group support to 72 children, and intensive 1:1 support to an additional 37 children. Over 1,000 hours of vital support to children in Northamptonsire. We’re over the moon about the difference we can make in 2017 and beyond.”
