Gloucestershire horse wins Gold Cup

Gloucestershire has plenty to celebrate after an exciting Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival.

The surprise winner was Imperial Commander, who is trained here in the county, in Naunton, by Nigel Twisten-Davies.

He beat 2008 champion Denman to the line, while favourite Kauto Star fell.

Around 70,000 people were packed into the racecurse to see the big race and bookies predict a staggering £40 million was put on the race.
