Heart 102.4 - Public File
Each local commercial radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels etc. These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK's radio regulator.
This Public File contains details of the elements that Ofcom regulate, such as music tracks, local news etc. It is intended to give you a better understanding of our output and what we are doing for our local community.
1. News Bulletin Schedule
Heart in Gloucestershire (Heart) broadcasts news bulletins on the half-hour between 0600 and 0900 and hourly from 0900 and 1800 on weekdays.
From 0600 - 1900 we broadcast bulletins containing a full mix of local, national and world stories, along with weather and entertainment news.
At the weekend, bulletins containing local, national and world news are broadcast on Heart between 0800 and 1200.
Local, national and international News and weather is also featured online at Heart .co.uk

On weekdays, “Heart Breakfast” show (6-10am), and “Drivetime” show (4-7pm), are produced locally. The rest of the daily output is broadcast across “The Heart Network” from various locations outside Gloucestershire.

9. Events/charities support or coverage
Heart regally supports and community and charity actively in Gloucestershire. Recently we have been involved with Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, The Pied Piper Appeal Walk-a-thon and Gloucestershire Motor Show, and we have support a charity film screening in aid of local charity Linc.
Our own Charity Have a Heart has raised over £307,000 to support the Starlight Children’s Foundation to provide new Have a Heart Starlight Fun Centres to Hospitals nationwide including hospitals in Gloucestershire.
Over 110 Heart Listeners have returned from a trip of a lifetime, walking along the Great Wall of China in aid of Heart's charity, Have a Heart.
