Don't let violence ruin your Christmas

For most people in Gloucestershire Christmas is a happy time of year, but for some it could end in violence.

Alcohol and families spending more time together and the main reasons for cases of Domestic Abuse rising at this time of year.

Workers at Gloucestershire’s Public Protection Bureau want to remind people that help remains available over December.

The domestic abuse helpline CARP (Central Allocation Referral Point) can be reached on 0845 602 9035.

The line will be open on Christmas Eve until 5pm then from Wednesday December 29 to Friday 31, 9am to 5pm.

Nationally, Women's Aid Domestic Abuse Helpline remains available throughout the festive period and their number is 0808 2000 247.
