CCTV cameras are being put up on a Gloucester bridge to catch people illegally using a bus lane.

Drivers who use Llanthony Road Bridge will also be hit with a £60 fine.

The bridge is heavily used by people walking between the new Gloucester Quays shopping centre, Gloucestershire College and the town centre.

There is a bus lane on the bridge, which is currently used by park and ride buses, emergency vehicles and taxis.

But since the lane opened more and more drivers are choosing to using the bridge as a short cut into town.
