Gloucester car crash

Three people have been injured in a car crash in Gloucester.

The two men and a woman, all in their 20s, were taken to hospital following the collision on Painswick Road near the Chequers Club.

Great Western Ambulance Service (GWAS) received the first of several 999 calls reporting the incident just before 10.30pm. An ambulance officer and two ambulances were sent to the scene.

GWAS officer Phil Griffith said:

"On arrival we found that a car had crashed into a wall and that three people had been injured. Two male patients, the driver and front-seat passenger, had suffered minor injuries and the female rear-seat passenger was still trapped in the car.

"We worked with our fire service colleagues to free the patient as soon as possible so a full assessment could take place and a further ambulance was responded to the scene.

"Both males had sustained minor injuries and the female had suffered a head injury. All three patients were taken to Gloucester Royal Hospital for further treatment."
