Gloucestershire's poet laureate
The search is on to find Gloucestershire's best poet.
A competition's been launched to crown the county's very own 'poet laureate'.
The title will be awarded in August as part of the new ARTournament festival, with a special ceremony taking place at the Chapter house of Gloucester Cathedral.
The plan is to crown a new laureate every year and their job will be to attend local poetry and arts festivals during their term of office, to help inspire people across the country to pick up a pen and start writing in verse.
To qualify a poet must be over 18 and live in Gloucestershire.
