Man Stabbed in Gloucester With Machete

Officers were called to Barnwood Road at 12pm on Saturday where a 29 year old was found in a garden after staggering down Armscroft road covered in blood.

The man told members of the public that he had been to a party in the City and had been stabbed by a group of men.

He had non-life threatening injuries and managed to walked to the ambulance when it arrived.

He was taken to the GRH to have his wounds treated but was discharged the same day.

It's not known where in the city the victim was stabbed but it's believed it was by a large bladed/machete type weapon.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "Although this is a very serious incident we want to reassure the public that we believe this to be an isolated case.

“We would like to hear from anyone who can help us with our inquiries and are appealing for witnesses - please call 101 quoting incident no. 174 of 31/01/15 if you can help us."
