Mum calls for new school crossing
A Gloucestershire mum has told Heart it is a miracle her son is alive after he collided with a car on the walk to school.
Lucy Rush, from Abbeymead, now wants a new crossing put in to make sure it can never happen again.
5 year old Chance was hit as he crossed Abbeymead Avenue as the family walked to Abbeymead Primary, amazingly he only suffered a bump on the head and a few bruises.
Lucy has contacted Gloucestershire Highways urging them to put in a crossing on the road.
She told Heart it was every mum's worst nightmare:
A similar campaign four years ago was turned down because highways bosses felt the existing crossing down the road was sufficient.
