Police investigate Cheltenham stabbings

Two people are recovering in hospital after being stabbed.

Police were were called to Hester's Way at just after 12am on Sundayy after reports of man suffering from stab wounds in Monkscroft.

A 27-year-old man from the town was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital for treatment, he is in a stable condition.

A 49-year-old man was taken Gloucester Royal Hospital with stab wounds and later transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, he is a stable condition.

Six people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Two men, aged 27 and 48 have been released on police bail pending further enquiries until September.

A 49-year-old man is still in police custody.

The three women aged 21, 43 and 48 who were arrested have all been released without charged.
