There are calls to scrap plans which would see some emergency calls made in Gloucestershire, answered in Taunton.
The reaction comes after a report from the Communities and Local Government committe, who blasted the Government's Fire Control Room project as being ''inadequately planned, poorly executed and badly managed''.
As part of the plans Gloucestershire's Fire control room, currently based at the Tri-service centre in Quedgeley, would be moved to Somerset instead.
Tam McFarlane from the South West Fire Brigades Union gave Heart his reaction to the report:
The project is estimated to be £300 million over budget and already three years late.
