Police in Stroud have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to about an assault in the town.

The incident happened between 3am and 4.10am on Saturday March 6 when a 25-year-old man from Quedgeley was walking along George Street and was approached from behind by two men who assaulted him, causing him to fall forward.

The victim suffered three fractures to his jaw.

Police issue CCTV stillsInvestigating officers are eager to hear from the two men seen in the CCTV images as they believe they may be witnesses.

It’s thought that both men left Junction 13 nightclub at around 3am and witnessed the assault before leaving in the direction of King Street.

An 18-year-old man from Stonehouse has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection to the incident and has been bailed to return to Stroud police station on June 15.
