You can see the skies come alive in Gloucestershire as the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust Slimbridge host their 'Festival of Birds' weekend on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th February. Grab the kids and your wellies and enjoy a fun filled weekend all the family can enjoy!
Whilst there you'll be able to explore the great outdoors, try your hand at sketching swans or watch a magical wild bird feed plus on Saturday you can spend time looking for wildlife with TV expert Simon King.
Browse stalls for wildlife souvenirs and there's plenty to keep your little explorers entertained with games and challenges and the chance to get up close to real life frogs & toads!
The Heart Angels will be there too on Saturday 4th February from 1pm - 3pm so come and chill out in the alfresco zone, grab some Heart goodies plus there'll be face painting for the kids! There's always something new to see or do all year round at WWT Slimbridge. With the beautiful sights its a great place to spot different wildlife and take some great photos.
There's lots of fun for the kids including feeding the ducks, exploring the grounds and splashing around in the outdoor wet playground. You can even try handling the toads and newts.
There's special talks, handling sessions and the canoe safari is fun for all ages allowing you to get closer to nature than ever before. Why not visit the award winning visitor centre, or warm up with a tasty treat in the cafe overlooking the flamingos.
