Park Your Parking Ideas With East Herts

East Herts Council have told Heart they are proposing to make changes to the charges in council car parks in places like Bishop's Stortford and wants to know your views.

Proposals include giving all customers the option of a free half hour as well as making short stay parking better value by giving you more parking time for the same charge. To help balance this it is propose to introduce a flat rate charge from 4pm to 10pm. Sundays will remain free all day.

The council wants to hear your views on these proposals. Consultation will start on May 1 and close on May 30.

Details of the consultation will also be available in the council offices at Hertford and Bishop's Stortford, town councils and tourist information centres. Notices will be displayed in all East Herts Council car parks.

Areas Not Included

Proposals won't apply to Jackson Square and Grange Paddocks car parks in Bishop's Stortford and Wallfields visitor car park in Hertford, due to aspects of how they operate at present.

Buntingford, Stanstead Abbotts and Sawbridgeworth are excluded from these proposals.
