Race For Life Fundraising Hub

Thank you for signing up to take part in the Race for Life with Have a Heart and helping us to raise over £40,000 for Cancer Research UK's work. Whether you’ve taken part in this fantastic event before, or running with Team Heart will be your first outing, you can be really excited about completing the Race for Life. Cross the finishing line running or walking and every step will be bringing us all a step closer to beating cancer.

Race for Life

There are over 200 cancers and Cancer Research UK won’t give up until we have cures for them all. That's why our charity, Have a Heart, has joined with Race for Life to say:

Cancer, we’re coming to get you!

Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK.  By joining with 50 amazing Heart women and running in your local event you'll be helping Have a Heart to make a huge difference to the work of Cancer Research UK.

Have a Heart is here to help you every step of the way.

Fundraising your £50 pledge

Fundraising for your Race for Life needn’t be stressful. Here are five easy ways to raise £10, adding up to meet your £50 fundraising target.

1.Give your friends a tube of smarties. When they’ve eaten the sweets, get them to fill the tube back up with coins.

Top tip: smarties tubes are a perfect fit for 20 pence pieces!

2. Bake a cake and take it in to work. If you sell ten pieces at £1 each, the money will soon start adding up!

3. Charge to walk your neighbours’ dogs. This is a great way to do a bit of training as well.

4. For a small contribution offer to make everyone’s tea at work for the day - it'll keep you on your feet as well as raising a few pounds for the cause.

5. Hold a sweepstake to guess your race finishing time with your friends and family- everyone pays a small amount to enter and the closest guess wins a prize.

You can contact the Have a Heart team at any time for advice and support. Email haveaheart@heart.co.uk to speak to one of the team.
