A new events venue costing £60million is being built at Bluewater Shopping Centre.

It's costing £60million to build and will be ready late 2011.

Heart's been told 600 people will be needed to build it, and a hundred permanent staff will be employed to run the venue when it's complete.

It'll be purpose-built development for events and exhibitions; such as baby, fashion and gardening shows.

There will be a central plaza, 12 restaurants totalling 4,000m2, including five new units, and the existing 12-screen cinema.

It's all being built on the area outside the Water Circus (where the cinema is).

Managers hope it'll encourage visitors to spend longer at the shopping centre.
