The car burst into flames

Police are looking for two men who were seen running off after a car burst into flames at a petrol station in Hythe.

It was reportedly set alight while parked on the forecourt at the BP garage in Seabrook Road on Friday night.

The fire did not spread to the surrounding forecourt or cause any injuries however it did cause severe damage to the vehicle.

Police want to speak with two men who are believed to have been travelling as passengers in the vehicle prior to it pulling into the forecourt.

Once the fire had started, they were seen running towards the beach in the direction of Folkestone.

The first man is described as being around 6ft tall with short brown hair and slight stubble. At the time he was wearing a purple hooded coat with a grey hooded jacket underneath, light blue jeans and dark shoes.

The second man is also described to be around 6ft tall and was wearing a purple hooded coat, light coloured canvas shoes and dark trousers. He is reported to have a medium build.
