Police want to find out who this person is in connection with three bookmaker robberies in Thanet this week.

Detectives suspect it is one and the same individual who has struck in Ramsgate, Birchington and Westgate, near Margate, threatening staff with a knife and getting away with cash in a carrier bag.

The first incident happened at Corals in Grange Road in Ramsgate shortly after it opened on Monday morning (16 August) at 8.30am. The man was the female teller's second customer of the day. He got away with a couple of hundred pounds.

Then on Monday night, around 9pm, the man went into Bet Fred in Station Road in Birchington and asked for money. He showed the assistant a knife. He left the shop with just under £100.

Then yesterday morning (Tuesday), at Corals in St Mildreds Road, Westgate, the man did the same thing to the woman behind the counter just after 9am. This time, he got just over £100.

No one has been hurt.

He is described as between 20 and 40, 5ft 5ins to 5ft  9ins, with a slim build and gaunt features. He was wearing a dark bomber-style jacket with hood that bears a white stripe, light grey or beige loose fitting combat trousers and white trainers.

He wore a bobble hat pulled down on his head.
