Woman Beats off Attacker with Sandal

A woman's fended off a sex attacker by hitting him with her shoe

Police are appealing for information following a sexual assault on a 55 year old woman at Iron Wharf in Abbey Street, Faversham on 24 July.

The victim was sitting reading a book on a bench at around 20:00pm when a man sat down and struck up a conversation with her. He then got up from the bench and returned half an hour later where he suddenly grabbed her hand and placed it on his crotch.

The woman hit him over the head with a sandal and was able to get away from him.

The offender is described as white, in his 60’s, of medium build, 5ft 10 tall and was wearing fawn coloured trousers and a green top.
