Gravesend: Man Sprayed With Noxious Substance

2 August 2016, 12:42

Police are investigating after a man was sprayed with a noxious substance at his home in Gravesend.

The incident took place in Parrock Street, near the junction with William Street, at about 2am on Monday 1 August.

The man, in his 50s, was woken up by a group of three or four men kicking a hole in his front door. The man tried to fend them off before they allegedly sprayed a substance through the hole, causing him to suffer a stinging sensation to his eyes.

He then set his house alarm off, causing the men to run away in the direction of William Street.

The suspects are described as being black, about 5ft 10in, of stocky build and wearing dark clothing.

They were also wearing hooded tops and face coverings.
